This is a hands-on role that combines yard maintenance, customer service and operational support. You'll work closely with both the mechanical workshop team and administration staff to ensure equipment, vehicles and the yard are maintained to a high standard. We're looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong work ethic and the ability to take initiative when required. Tasks & Responsibilities Maintain a clean, safe and organised yard environment Assist customers with equipment collections and returns Support workshop and operational teams as required Perform general yard maintenance and minor repairs Inspect equipment and report damage or maintenance requirements Assist with loading, unloading and movement of equipment Work closely with mechanics and office staff to support daily operations Ensure WHS procedures and site standards are maintained Skills & Experience Essential Strong customer service and communication skills Positive attitude and willingness to learn Reliable and punctual with strong work ethic Ability to work independently and within a team Current driver's licence Highly Regarded Forklift Licence Experience working in a yard, warehouse, workshop or construction environment Mechanical aptitude or experience using tools Salary & Benefits $70,000 - $80,000 super Full-time permanent role Forklift training available for the right candidate Long-term career opportunity Supportive and team-focused environment Variety in day-to-day responsibilities About the company The employer is a well-established construction services business supporting projects across the ACT.
